Transitions: Vessels for Sam
This collection was created as a journey from grief to healing after the death of my son Sam by suicide. Several pieces in the collection feature different elements of crows, as Sam’s last name was Crowe. I sculpted a series of six crow eggs, each in various forms of hatching. And there are other themes, as you will see; many of them are Viking-inspired funeral boats and barges.
